Nice citrusy aroma with a hint of fruitiness. The taste is a balanced hoppy blend with just enough bitterness—under-stated malty flavor goes well with the warm citrusy hop flavor. Good stuff.

Tommyknocker Brewery - Hop Strike Black IPA
Light, hoppy aroma that kinda smells more like a Stout. The flavor opens up with a nice level of hoppiness and a very smoky, caramel flavor. Good balance and nice flavor.

Nice smoky stout aroma. Nicely aged strong tasting beer with a bit off coffee, some cocoa flavor and a nice smoothness that holds it all together. Delicious!

Cigar City Brewing - Jai Alai IPA
Expectations were tempered on the only IPA in FLL terminal F. The nice dark color is promising. The aroma has a terrific grapefruit and tropical fruit aromas. There is a little bit of roasted flavor baked in to a deliciously balanced caramelly - malt backbone. Not a great after taste, but this is an IPA…it’s hard to complain. Good beer.

Dogfish Head - 90 Minute IPA
An old favorite. Light west-coast hop aroma, with a bourbon-like caramel-flavored malt backbone. This is one strong (and delicious) beer. Definitely not a floral or citrus and fruit finesse beer - this is strong and malty and hoppy.

Caramelly/toffee-like aroma with a hint of piney - earthy hops. Warming Barleywine style flavor to the beer. It was good, but not amazing or different. I guess I just had hopes that were too high for something boldly different?

Lagunitas - Maximus IPA
Fantastic floral grapefruit aroma—it just smells bitter! The taste is more of the same, but with a bit of citrus and a nice smooth - almost sweet - taste that fades to a piney citrus after taste. A good beer!

Westbrook Brewing - White Thai Flavored Ale
Based on the name, I was expecting something radical, but this is really just a Belgian Witbier with a twist. The beer does have a spicier flavor than a typical Witbier, but is otherwise sort of plasticky and not amazing.

Interesting floral aroma with a fragrant taste of…honey. The malt is heavy and somewhat overpowering after the honey flavor. Different, but not really delicious.

DC Brau - Penn Quarter Porter
The aroma of this one reminds me of an Irish bar on the morning after—molasses and alcohol in a gritty blend. The taste is a potent blend of burnt molasses and a bit of earthy malt flavors. It’s tough to understate how dark this one tastes. I like it…but…one is enough.

Nice tropical fruit aroma with a hint of floral aroma. The initial flavor is nicely sweet with a good level of bitterness. The taste is a hop blend that tastes mostly earthy with a bit of tropical fruit and a nice level of caramel and malt flavor. A good beer.

Light earthy hop aroma, with a balanced light ale flavor. Slight sweetness to the taste as well. Not a bad beer, but not amazing.
