Devils Backbone Brewing Co - Eight Point IPA
So here’s what bugs me: why an eight-point? It’s a decent sized deer, nothing tiny; but you’ll definitely be over-shadowed…what message is this name delivering?
Anyway. This IPA has a light, understated citrus aroma. Smooth, sweet taste that gives way to a lot of bitterness and a heavy malt character. It’s a little too dry a malt character for my taste and ends a bit sour on the aftertaste. Interesting VA brewery, and I hope they do well, but this isn’t my style of IPA.
